RENAULT'S latest Grand Scenic will only be available as a seven seater in the UK and it launches a number of new additions to the company's engine range.
Most of the new models should also be a good deal cheaper than those they replace, giving even better value for money across the board.
There will be 20 different versions covering four trim levels and prices start at just £15,000.
The entry Extreme 1.6 will be over £1,000 cheaper than the model it replaces and all will have CD MP3 player, air conditioning, electronic stability control and Renault's TunePoint to plug in portable music players.
The 1.5 dCi 106 is claimed to have the lowest CO2 emissions of any seven-seat compact MPV, at 135g/km.
Seven engines will be availlable from launch, three petrol and four diesel. Two new power units are the turbocharged 1.4 TCe with 130bhp and the 2.0 dCi 160bhp.
The recently introduced 2.0-litre 140bhp with continuously variable transmission will be carried over from the present range.
Interior
The new model will be available with the cheapest sat-nav in any car at just £450 extra, plus a rear parking camera.
Even entry models will have twin front, front and rear curtain and front lateral airbags, digital dashboard display, front electric windows and keyless entry.
