The headlights on my megane will not work. Only sidelights, fog and full beam work on auto or manual. Is this an electrical fault please ?
Did they fail separately or both together? If separately, it’s probably the bulbs – Megannes have a habit of blowing them and they’re a swine to replace, so it’s not unusual to find them blown until MOT time.
If they failed together, I suspect the fuse box, which was prone to letting in water until Renault fitted a sealing kit in 2003. The kit should be available from a dealer if this is your problem. Sadly, Renaults are not the best cars for electronic/electrical reliability.
