Hi,

My Rover speedo, rev counter and mileometer don't work. What are possible causes for this please?

The plug on the back of the instrument cluster unit has poor contacts.

Look for a few screws in the dash surround and once you’ve removed them gently ease it out. Don’t force it – if it doesn’t come away easily you’ve missed a screw. Watch out for any wiring to bulbs or the clock etc – you may be able to leave it connected, otherwise note which plug goes where. You will then see the screws that hold the instrument cluster in place – remove these and take the cluster out to get to the plugs. Clean the contacts with switch cleaner.
