A SECOND-hand Rover 75 is the best second-hand car that money can buy, according to an independent magazine specialising in the subject.
The Rover 75 has been voted the Used Car of the Year 2004, by Used Car Buyer magazine's panel of 15 motoring journalists and industry experts.
It was marked highest in the fitness-for-purpose category, for its value for money, running costs, reliability, residual value and image. At the same awards, last year's winner, the BMW 5-Series was named Best Used Executive Car.
Now in its fifth year, the awards competition was fiercer than ever, and the Rover 75 had to beat each of the individual category winners to take the title of Used Car of the Year 2004.
