Question

Saab 900 2.3SE (non turbo).

Just had a new clutch fitted. I now have difficulty engageing reverse gear. is this due to the clutch or a gearbox problem?

All forward gears engage well and are very smooth

Answer

It could well be the selector mechanism that needs adjusting – take it back to the garage and they should put it right free of charge, since they should have adjusted it properly when they refitted the gearbox.
