SKODA’S popular Fabia compact car range is to get a new addition – to celebrate 100 years of the Monte Carlo Rally.
Named the Fabia Monte Carlo and boasting enhanced sports styling and a bespoke interior, the model also commemorates the 110-year anniversary of the brand's motorsport pedigree.
The car’s exterior styling looks more dynamic than standard models with piano-black body trim over the wheel arches and down the full length of the car, a black roof, black door mirror covers, a black radiator grille top, smoked headlamps and black 17-inch alloy wheels.
For the interior, buyers can opt for either all black or, red and black sports seats which boast additional side support.
Both versions come with black roof lining, a perforated leather steering wheel with red stitching, leather handbrake and gearstick gaiter with red stitching. Silver kick plates and steel pedals are fitted as standard.
The car makes its debut at Rallye Monte Carlo from January 19-22, where Skoda’s current IRC championship winning rally car, the Fabia S2000, finished fourth in class on its first outing at the rally in 2009.
Available as hatchback only, the car’s trim is based on the current Fabia SE version, and there will be a wide range of engines.
Prices are from £12,755 for the 1.2-litre 69PS model to £15,000 for the 1.6 TDI CR 105PS model.
