FACELFITED versions of the Skoda Fabia and Roomster are being planned by the Czech car maker.
The new-look models will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show and will feature a range of improved engines.
A new hatchback version of the Fabia will also be making its debut at the Swiss show which runs from March 2 to 14.
The new models feature redesigned radiator grilles and headlamps as well as other bodywork changes.
In Britain, four petrol and two diesel engines will be available in the cars with power ranging from 60bhp to 105bhp in the Fabia and from 70bhp to 105bhp in the Roomster.
The new engine line-up includes a 1.2-litre TSI 105bhp petrol unit paired with a twin-clutch seven-speed DSG transmission devised by Skoda’s parent company, Volkswagen.
The TSI engine is claimed to be capable of delivering average fuel consumption of 53.3mpg and will be available either as an 85 or 105bhp unit.
On the diesel front, Skoda is replacing the current 1.4 and1.9-litre engines with an improved 1.6-litre block which has CO2 emissions below 110g/km – significantly lower than the current range.
Prices for the new models are still to be announced.
