SSANGYONG returns to the marketplace with the Rexton luxury 4x4 SUV.

The Rexton, built in Korea, was designed in collaboration between Daewoo and SsangYong Motors.

SsangYong Motors was established in 1954, and is recognised as a specialist manufacturer of 4-wheel drive SUV's, in Korea. In 1991 SsangYong concluded a strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz AG in the joint development of engine technology and LCVs.

Some of the better known SsangYong SUV models include the Korando and the Musso.

The new Rexton continues to sharpen SsangYong's focus on its core area of expertise - SUV and active lifestyle vehicles. SsangYong is continuing its investment for the future with new model programmes that will see further new vehicles being launched in the near future.

Safety features such as ABS, traction control system, dual airbags and side-impact protection enable the Rexton to achieve a five-star rating in NHTSA in frontal and side impact safety tests.

Climate control, leather seat upholstery, alloy wheels, electric front and rear windows and RDS radio/ CD stack player are just some of the features that maintain the high specification now expected by Daewoo customers.

The interior of the Rexton was designed to give drivers and passengers pure luxury and endless refinement and the result is a finely balanced blend of thoughtful ergonomic design, solid craftsmanship and premium grade materials.

The driving environment is so silent and vibration-free that commuting through heavy traffic is almost a pleasure. Headroom and legroom are ample while the seven-seat configuration is highly flexible for greater vehicle versatility.
