Question

Hi,

I'm considering buying a Suzuki GV 2ltr Auto Estate with 29000+ on clock from Appleyards dealer with 1 year Warranty, 6 month Tax , 1 Years MOT and a full service before it is collected. I have had you guys do a 'hpi' on it and all seems o.k.

My question is, is this type of car a good buy for a family of 4? Is it expensive to run and is it expensive on repair costs?

Do you think I have a good deal on this car?

Regards

Tony

Answer

Blimey Tony.... so many questions in one. This is like a Russian doll.

Let's look at this in stages:

Mileage: If this is a 03-04 year car then the mileage is fine

Prices: 03-04 year cars are currently about £4,900 - £5,800

With a 1 year warranty, MOT and a service you have all the protection against breakdown costs you can get, short of locking the car away in a air tight room. It amounts to about £500 of value, plus teh peace of mind.

39 MPG is respectable, Insurance group 12 for a 2.0 litre car is reasonable....

If you are paying the right price this sounds like a very prudent and well-thought-out buy.
