Hi,
Recently I bought a 3 year old approved used Toyota Verso from main dealer at £6,700. It had 30,000 miles on the clock.
Having now recieved V5 , it says previously registered as a company car but when I asked how many previous owner has got salesman told me it has only one owner and didn't show V5 book at tme of sale.
If I was knew it was registered as company car, I wouldn't have bought it. Plus the interior is dirty, the body work is poor (a different colour shade), which I found later.
If it was registered as a company car, can they say it had one owner?
I did ask them if I can return the car and they say I can not.
Any advice for me?
Thanks,
Mendee
Answer
Hi
If the car was owned by just one company then it has had just one owner. There is no reason to think that just because the car was owned by a business that it was driven by a lot of people, or driven badly, or not looked after.
So they have done nothing wrong there and there is nothing different to worry about there than buying any other car.
However, if there are defects with the car that were not apparent when you first bought it then you may well have a case to be refunded or have the problems fixed. Please consult our dispute advice section.
Regards
Matt
