Hi
I bought a used Toyota Avensis 2004 model at Jemca and my 1 year manufacturer warranty will end this year.
My car has 42,000 milleage. My question is do, I really need to extend my warranty from Toyota or go to Warranty Direct which is much cheaper?
If I go for Warranty Direct for my extended warranty should I choose franchised repairer or their own repairer? Thanks.

Hi
You need to check the small print carefully to ensure that the warranties are sufficiently similar to ensure that you are being covered as well by the cheaper warranty.
If you are not getting main dealer repairs then that is one difference already. Whilst independents can be as good as main dealers, there is a much wider variation. So it may be best to go for the main dealer, afterall, the point of a warranty is that you won't have to pay for the costs of the repair - so why not have the safest and best?
