A NEW look Toyota RAV4 is going on sale in June with an emphasis on diesel engines.
The entry level petrol model has been dropped and replaced with a 2.2-litre diesel capable of averaging 48mpg.
It will be priced from £22,410 – an increase of more than £2,000 over the current cheapest RAV4 – while the range will top out at £27, 380.
Restyled at the front, the new models also feature leather and alcantara upholstery in all but the basic two-wheel-drive version.
Top specification SR models are fitted with a hard disk drive sat nav and entertainment system as standard.
Toyota is using the 148bhp 2.2-litre diesel engine throughout the new RAV4 range where it produces 148g/km CO2.
The only petrol option is a two-litre four wheel drive version fitted with a continuously variable transmission and priced from £23,710.
