Question

Hi,

Is there any particular reason as to why the corsa Breeze 1.2 only has 44 bhp and the rest have over 50?

Can I change mine by putting in a new ECU from another Corsa?

Answer

The latest Corsas 1.2s have nearer 80 bhp, and the previous generation have just under 60 BHP. See our stats section for more.

Where two Corsas have the same engine but different BHP the difference is usually the configuration of the engine management software rather than anything mechanical.

But it is a brave man who goes around switching ECUs. I have seen to perfectly good Honda Integras rendered inoperative because someone tried to swap the ECUs...
