Question

Hi

My rev counter bounces up and down it makes the headlights go dim and then bright.

The car feels as if it is going to cut out. Do all Meriva's have this problem?

Answer

The Meriva is one of Vauxhall’s more reliable products with few common problems, so yours seems a one off bad connection.

The headlights going dim and bright make me suspect an earthing fault, but a good auto electrician should be able to trace it.
