VAUXHALL has announced that the new estate version of its Vectra model will finally go on sale here during the last week of November, with prices from £16,000 rising to £25,100 for the top of the range 3.0CDTi V6 diesel.
An important newcomer in an expanding sector of the market, Vauxhall expects the estate to take about 15 per cent of total Vectra sales.
It will be launched with five trim levels - LS, Club, SXI, Elegance and Elite. The addition of an SRI trim model will complete the range next spring when buyers will also be able to specify a power tailgate as an option which enables the driver to open and close the tailgate from either the key fob or a button beneath the number plate.
There will also be a retractable tow-bar which stores the tow-bar out of sight, behind the bumper. When needed, a release mechanism in the boot moves the tow-bar into place, requiring just a click to lock it securely.
