AN eco-friendly version of the Vauxhall Zafira is being launched powered by a 1.7-litre diesel engine and capable of more than 50 miles per gallon.
The ecoFLEX Zafira is in Band C for Vehicle Excise Duty - costing £120 per year in road tax for the private buyer,
Its benefit in kind tax for company car drivers is 18 per cent, the lowest taxation class for a seven-seater car in the UK.
The ecoFLEX Zafira is officially rated at 53.3mpg giving it a theoretical range of 680 miles.
The 1.7 CDTi engine, which is also fitted to the Vauxhall Astra ecoFLEX, produces 110PS giving acceleration of 0-60mph in 12.6 seconds and a top speed of 112mph.
Priced from £17,310 for the Zafira Exclusiv ecoFLEX, buyers pay £100 more than the equivalent 1.9 CDTi 120PS model.
