Hi
Should I buy a 1.6 Luna Beetle from 2005 - would I find this slow and boring and would I always be putting petrol in it as it's a heavy car with a smallish engine or would I be better off buying Mini Copper Cabriolet 2004?
Thanks
Catherine
Answer
Hi
Well, as someone who generates a lot of typos, I can say with a warm smile that youo should not buy a Mini Copper.
A Mini Cooper however, will deliver 41 MPG rather compared to the Beetle's 37 mpg.
The Mini will be more fun to drive, but if you look in our running costs calculator (I'm afraid it only goes back to 2006, but still the 2006 figures give you a good idea) you will see that because of the depreciation, the Beetle will be cheaper to run - even though the fuel and service costs are very similar.
