Question

I've been to see a Golf today, its for sale at £1500.

I can knock around £200 off that with cash. It's got a full service history, 1400cc, S-reg, with 107,000 miles on the clock.

It seems to drive well, are there any glaring things I should be looking for?

3 things, there are always 3 things Matt:

Faults - download a fault check guide
Stolen, crashed, owed - get a data check (this is the cheapest one)
Price - is the price fair?

The first two I can't help further on, but in terms of point three, I would say it needs to be in wonderful condition to pay that for it....
