Question

Hi.

I'm looking to buy a VW Golf 2.0 Cabriolet 1995, 84,000 miles for £1750.

Drives OK but some 'blow' on exhaust which the chap in the garage said he'll fix.

He said he can't give a warranty as its over 10 yrs old and it has MOT for only 1 month. Garage has had it since Jan09. Should I ask for it to be MOT'd before buying?

Worried I could spend the money and have nothing to drive by end of next month!

Any other suggestions?? Thanks, PJ.

Answer

PJ

Only buy this car if it has 12 months MOT.

There are lots more cars on the forecourt!

Best of luck!

Matt
