SPORTY styling is set to be the key which will unlock greater showroom success for the next generation of Volvo's S60 family and business saloon.
The Swedish firm is set to unveil a dynamic and dramatic fresh appearance for the revised S60 range it will launch at the Geneva Motor Show in spring.
'We have sculpted this all-new saloon model to move you. It looks and drives like no other Volvo before and the car's technology will help you to be safer and more confident behind the wheel,' according to company president and CEO Stephen Odell.
Despite being aimed at the growing market for younger drivers who place a high priority on kerbside appeal, the new car will be available with groundbreaking electronic equipment that is able to apply the brakes automatically if the driver fails to avoid a pedestrian.
Production of the S60 is set to start next summer at the firm's factory in Ghent, Belgium.
"Customers in this segment want emotional appeal, sporty design and dynamic driving properties. The S60 has it all and we are convinced that it will be one of the strongest contenders around," added Mr Odell.
